Who is MilitaryHomeLink.com?
MHL is a web-portal that has multiple applications. The primary focus is to provide dynamic information about local communities for transitioning Army personnel and their families. As a secondary objective, we strive to assist transitioning families in developing a sense of fellowship within their new communities by providing access to local forums and community calendars. A third objective is to work with developers who participate in the Residential Community Initiative (RCI). Serving as a community hub, MHL can provide “real time” information about the needs of military personnel and their family. Finally, MHL is the sole platform for the Technologically Connected Home project.    

What is the mission statement for MilitaryHomeLink.com?
To be an information tool to Army personnel and their families at our service locations, a conduit between transitioning families and their new communities, a communication hub for developers, and the platform for the Technologically Connected Home project.

What is the Technologically Connected Home Project?
The Technologically Connected Home study is a research project approved by the Department of Defense and conducted by Boston University. The study objective is to learn how web-based products and services play a role in technologically advanced Army homes. For instance: Telemedicine, distant learning, VOIP, and consumer direct products and services will be provided to the participants' home. Army personnel and families will have the opportunity to access these products/services and provide feedback regarding their experiences. The research is currently being conducted at Fort Bragg, Fort Meade and Fort Hood.

How does MilitaryHomeLink.com link with the Technologically Connected Home project?
MilitaryHomeLink.com is the platform for the Technologically Connected Home project. Products and services that are part of the research study will be accessed through this portal. Also, the participant will fill out on-line questionnaires about their experiences and preferences pertaining to the products/services tested.
